Develop4Food is dedicated to helping businesses in the food, packaging material and consumer goods manufacturing, storage and transport sectors achieve and maintain compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

We support your site and personnel in achieving and maintaining certification to customer required international food safety and quality management standards, while also driving continuous improvement strategies. Our scope of services include the delivery of industry-recognized training courses (online and face-to-face), systems development, integration of customer requirements within site management systems, conducting internal audits and gap assessments, workshop training sessions and support in setting up learning management systems. 

Develop4Food collaborates with highly skilled service providers who bring broad expertise across a range of product and management system standards, including HACCP, ISO standards, GFSI-recognized schemes (such as BRCGS, FSSC 22000, and IFS), CODEX guidelines, FDA and FSMA requirements, as well as customer- and retailer-specific requirements.

We are committed to staying current with evolving industry standards, interpreting and implementing requirements effectively, and driving development, growth, and a culture of operational and competency excellence across the food and consumer products industries.

Hildegard Niehaus

As the Director of Develop4Food, Hildegard Niehaus focuses on sharing knowledge and bringing expertise together to ensure the best service for clients in training, consulting, and systems improvement within the food industry. A qualified Food Scientist with a Master’s degree in Environmental Management, she brings a holistic approach to food safety, quality, and sustainability. Her expertise extends to integrative management systems, helping businesses streamline certification processes and ensure alignment across global product and food safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Registered through the BRCGS Training Academy as an Approved Training Partner (ATP), Hildegard specializes in training and consulting on GFSI-recognized standards, ISO 19011 lead auditing, and global product and food safety and quality management standards. With 15 years of lead auditing experience and a background as a program manager for various GFSI-recognized standards at an accredited certification body, she provides practical insights into implementing, maintaining, and optimizing certification systems.

Hildegard has contributed to the industry through her involvement in the GFSI working committee and as a lecturer at tertiary institutions. Through her training and consultancy, she empowers individuals and organizations worldwide to develop, integrate, and improve their food safety, quality, and environmental management systems.

Helen Jackson

Helen Jackson is the founder of Simulous Food Consultancy Ltd, bringing 25 years of experience in the food manufacturing industry. Her expertise spans multiple sectors, including ready meals, seafood, pizzas, and canned goods, giving her a well-rounded understanding of food production and safety.

Before establishing her consultancy, Helen served as Head of Technical at a major food manufacturer for over a decade. She led technical teams across two factories, ensuring compliance with industry standards and successfully achieving and maintaining BRCGS AA+ accreditation.

Helen’s career has taken her around the world, visiting a variety of manufacturing facilities and gaining valuable insights into diverse operational practices and quality standards. She understands the complexities of balancing regulatory compliance with the fast-paced demands of food production and is committed to helping businesses navigate these challenges effectively.

Taurai Chiduza

Taurai Chiduza is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of leadership in food safety, quality assurance, and ethical and ESG management systems. As a Partner at Baker Tilly Central Africa, he brings extensive expertise in auditing, training facilitation, and consulting, consistently driving measurable improvements in customer satisfaction, brand protection, and profitability across diverse food manufacturing sectors.

An accredited and self-motivated auditor, Taurai has led multi-disciplinary teams in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of BRCGS Standards, HACCP, FSSC 22000, and ISO-based systems. Renowned for his technical mastery and ability to foster cross-functional collaboration, he is highly respected for creating actionable strategies that mitigate risks and enhance operational excellence.

With an international footprint spanning Europe, Asia, Latin America and across Africa—including West, East, and Southern Africa—Taurai’s influence extends to his role as a guest speaker on packaging trends at AFMASS, the no.1 Food Manufacturing expo held annually in Ghana, where he is recognized as a thought leader in packaging innovation and global food safety practices.

Taurai combines a proven track record of corporate and multi-plant technical expertise with a passion for empowering businesses to achieve excellence in quality, food safety, and ethical standards. His commitment to delivering exceptional results has made him a trusted partner for organizations looking to elevate their standards and safeguard their brand reputation.
